As Front Site Post continues to grow, and the need for more writers increases due to the demand of content by you the reader. We have reached out to individuals who have the same mind set as the rest of the FSP Staff and have been lucky enough to get some great contributors! We are proud to announce that Ian Strimbeck of Down Range Firearms Training will be guest writing for FSP as well! Ian’s Bio is below and can also be found on the FSP Staff page.
Bio:
Ian spent four years as an Infantry Rifleman in the United States Marine Corps. While serving, he has held every position in a fire team and has been in charge of the coordination and execution of operations in multiple high-tension environments. Many of his regular tasks while deployed included counterinsurgency operations, raids, ambushes, cordon knocks and searches, sensitive site exploitation, census gathering, and local/personal security. Since leaving the military in 2010, Ian has become part of the cadre of Down Range Firearms Training Instructors out of Massachusetts. While there, he has become a NRA Certified Instructor as well as a Massachusetts State Police Certified Instructor. Ian brings real-world experiences to the forefront in order to better train his students. Even as an instructor Ian is constantly learning and has recently become a Certified Combat Focus Shooting Instructor through Rob Pincus of I.C.E. Training. Along with the rest of the DRFT cadre there are only just over forty instructors in the entire world that are certified to teach the intense curriculum. Using his extensive knowledge base in carbines, handguns and tactics Ian should prove to be another great addition to the FSP team.
