215Gear was established in 2007 by Jim and Carrieann (last name withheld for security purposes). Jim, an active duty Spec Ops member, started his company due to the frustration of poorly-developed gear used in his field.

The Slap Charge Pouch

Although the first product produced by 215Gear was their custom tactical bag/kit, the company makes a unique set of gear, and innovates in ways many others do not. They sell products that are both for specific purposes, as well as more general uses. As many other companies in the industry do, they have their share of riggers belts and single-point

slings, but they also produce products for less common positions in the military and law enforcement. Some of these unique products are part of a fairly extensive selection of K9 accessories, for man’s best friend on the job. 215Gear also produces a very specific pouch for “Nunchuck” or “Slap” charges (seen in image). Other mission specific items 215Gear produces include GPS pouches and multi-mission weapon retainer straps. The company seems to cater most of their products to the more specific jobs in the military and law enforcement fields.

Mission Safety Lanyard

All products from 215Gear are field tested before making it to the sale floor, and are made here in the US. After speaking to Carriann via email, it is quite evident that

many details about the background of the company need to be withheld to protect Jim. If you would like to visit 215Gear, to see their selection you can do so by clicking here.
