Dedication and commitment, these are the words that come to mind after hearing the story of FrogLube® CLP.

Once again we believe in order to better understand a product, you should better know its creator. Larry Lasky, a former US Navy Seal has quite the service record. Capt. Lasky spent 32 years in service to the United States Special Operations Command, Naval Special Warfare and to the U.S. soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines. Needless to say, he has spent countless hours both on the range and in combat where weapon malfunctions were a life and death reality. Post military life Larry and his wife developed their company Audemous Inc. (which in latin means let us dare) as a consulting firm. The company began representing products in the environmental, health, and safety markets, more specifically selling traffic cones and safety barriers. Audemous Inc. was also involved in the production of Discovery’s TV show Kidnap and Rescue, which aired in 2010 and is now available on Netflix.

On a work related trip, at a Founders day convention in 2009, Larry came in contact with a salesmen for a “green” lubrication and preservative product being utilized by mechanics on precision machinery. Larry and the salesmen discussed the possibility of government interest in the product, and Larry agreed to have Audemous Inc. represent the product in government sales. This lead the Audemous CEO to request samples of the lubricant for testing.

Within 2 weeks of handling the product, Larry had tested it on chains, tracks, wheels, nylon and rubber with startling results. One day, he observed his son’s bicycle sitting out in the rain and thought of the expected rust soon to follow. The next morning, after the storm, he went outside to move the bike and noticed the chain was orange with rust, as expected. By chance, he opened the garage to store the bike and noticed the then called “new goo” sitting out and decided to test it’s rust removal properties on the bike chain. He brushed a area of about 6 inches with the lube, left it outside in direct sun. He came back about an hour or so later and was shocked to see an orange pool of liquid below the chain, an area of about 6 inches of chain clean and rust free, on an otherwise rusted chain.

In November of 2009 Larry contacted the developer of the mechanic’s product and discussed the possibility of taking this industrial – grade product and reformulating it into a gun care product. After hearing that the gentleman on the other end of the phone was already using it in such a way the stage was set. Larry and the developer discussed a plan to reformulate and evaluate a new formulation intended specifically for modern firearms. On the 18th of November the two men met in Las Vegas to meet face-to-face and set the course ahead. They decided to enter business together in order to develop a firearms product, create a brand, and even consider other markets. In December the process of testing and formulating began with the material suppliers. It was seven months before the concoction was perfected and the first article was approved. Audemous then moved into a production facility in Huntington Beach, California and set up the production capacity to make bottles and tubs of the new formula. In May 2010 the first article samples were approved for production. Larry began selling to customers directly and shortly after, sales overtook the ability to keep up. They developed a distribution network of independent small businesses across the country and internationally who now sell FrogLube products. Soon later Audemous outgrew the Huntington Beach facility and expanded their filling and packaging capacity and are now in major nationwide distribution channels such as MidwayUSA, Brownell’s, Turners, and soon the military exchange system through Tactical Assault Gear’s network.

I recently had the pleasure of  speaking to Larry over the phone. As our conversation came to an end, I  asked Larry a question, “What would you like our readers to know about Froglube CLP?”. He replied, “Its simple, I want everyone to know that when you purchase our product, your aren’t purchasing CLP, your purchasing accuracy and dependability.” Now I know you may be thinking “talk is cheap”, but when I got my hands on Larry’s products, it became clear to me that those words could not have been more true.

We are currently writting the full product review of FrogLube® CLP. The review should be posted later this week. In the mean time to learn more about Froglube CLP head over to their website by clicking here. While you are at it,  send some love to FrogLube by “liking” them on facebook!

I have been using Frog Lube for more than a year. I love the stuff. Use it freely fire cheap dirty ammo and the crud wipes right off. It is great stuff. I urge anyone who shoots much to buy it and use it. Works well on rough skin too.
